A taste of the good life

So, PJ was finally introduced to cereal and he sure did gobble it up with no problems. Take a look.

Just a little messy...but it will get better, right?

Playdate with my friend Ellie (we playfully call her PJ's girlfriend)

Check out PJ making his move and holding her hand; Dad taught him that move

This is my favorite! They are just so cute together.

5 months old

We love our growing boy so much. PJ is at such a fun stage. He has more control over his body and will now grab for items, especially his paci. He has definitely found his voice and sure does like to use it! He giggles, shrills, babbles and I promise he is very close to saying "momma". He also makes this noise where is sounds like he is taking a deep breath in and then he will just giggle and giggle. In fact, he uses this technique to charm the ladies. Here is what happened the other day at preschool. His teachers had him in one exersaucer and another little girl in an exersaucer facing him and PJ started his breathing noise and the little girl started laughing at him and then PJ laughed at her and then they would start the whole process over again. It was hysterical to watch. I am so glad they came and got me out of my classroom to see him in action. Our little boy the charmer. Mommy's two handsome boys

New Toy: PJ was trying out his new toy the walker. His feet still don't touch the ground but he loves for us to push him around in it. He especially loves it when we run fast across the kitchen floor. This is him the other night having a grand time:

Mom got a phone call from Aunt Brittany and not wanting PJ to have to quite playing, I sat on the floor and pushed him back and forth with my feet while I was talking. He was laughing and playing and then all of a sudden this is what happened:

His head just seemed to fall right over and he didn't move for 40 minutes!!!

Yes, I realize that we could have attempted to move him to a more comfortable position but I'm sure many parents out there realize the possible problem of such an attempt. We thought he must have needed a little nap. :)

This is what he looked like when he woke up. We couldn't resist in taking pictures of all the red marks on his face. :)

Dad's Favorites

Dad decided he'd try his hand at blogging. Here are some of my favorites with captions for fun.

"You think I'm going to drop this thing don't you? Well I didn't. I'm that good."

"Dad is my best bud..."

"...but Mom owns my heart."

"I just have to put up with this for awhile. Soon he'll stop and I can go back to sucking on my hand."

I'm too sexy for my...um...drool stained onesie?

"He thinks he can outstare me but he can't. He loses every time."

"Man those paparazzi cameras are annoying!"

"This is a carefully staged shot that I don't appreciate. I don't usually stoop to holding my own bottle. I have parent slaves for that."

"See, this is the way it usually goes."

"Just call me P.J. of Arabia, or the Sultan of Slobber, or Ali Babble, or any of my many secret aliases."

"See, this is me incognito. I usually do this when people try to kiss me too much and I need to blend in with my surroundings for my own protection."

"Late at night I sneak out of my crib and crawl around the house fighting crime and generally just watching out for Mom and Dad. Yeah the job has its perks such as finding dropped M&Ms and getting to watch late-night Baby Einstein (yeah the late night version is slightly edgier), but it definitely adds to my grouchy factor the next morning.
