Baby Dress Up

I have always heard what fun it is to dress-up little girls and I thought what about my little boy? He may not have the cutest little clothes with matching shoes but he sure does have a lot of hats. Although, most of them don't fit his round head. Take a look at our dress up fun.

When I put this one on him, the snaps were snap together and the strap ended right under his nose. I guess he won't be wearing this one with the snaps done!

Does this remind you of anyone you know? Grandpa (Larry) during the winter months??

Too Small
This one says "one size fits all"
You be the judge.

He just got this one at Christmas with a cute outfit. The shirt and pants fit...can't say the same about the hat.

4 Months Old

PJ is now four months old! Where does the time go? He is getting so big and doing so many new things. Just the other day Clint said "I love this age." PJ gets excited when he sees us and I love that when I pick him up from his class, he just smiles at me like he has missed me all morning. :) Some stats on PJ from the following month:
  • Weight is 15.11 oz which makes him in the 75th percentile
  • Height is 25 inches - also 75th percentile (At two months he was in the 90th for both H & W)
  • Head measured at 17.5 cm - 97th percentile (All I can say is at least it is on the charts this time. At two months, his head measurement wasn't even on the chart)
  • He "talks" all the time; Just ask his teachers.
  • He giggles and laughs out loud at the strangest things.
  • He can roll over both ways but usually just prefers to go from back to front.
  • He loves to stand up.
  • I don't feel anymore teeth but the dr said to be on the look out since he already got two so early.
  • Learned to take a bottle again over the weekend...YEAH!!!! I hope it sticks this time.
  • Started to grab things but I'm not sure if this is intentional yet since it is mostly his paci.
  • Likes to chew on the side of the paci (plastic part)
  • PJ likes to try to sit up on his own...doesn't last long but the dr said to practice.
  • Starting to enjoy peek-a-boo

Here are just a few random shots from the last couple of days.

Practicing sitting up

New favorite thing to look at - the electrical outlet. Don't worry I watch him like a hawk! He hasn't tired to reach out and touch it yet but I'm waiting. He will sit and look at this thing for a good long while. I asked him if he wanted to be an electrical engineer...not exactly what dad does, but who knows?

Good Memories

Today is the anniversary of when we found out that we were pregnant with our little Pierson James. It was such an exciting day for us. We had been trying to conceive for a while and my cycles had gotten all off. I had been sick during this week and a friend of mine suggested that I go ahead and take a test. I remember it being a Thursday morning and I woke up super early and decided to go ahead and take the test. I remember thinking "here I go again...it's going to come out the same as all the other ones had (negative)" I used one of the cheap dollar store kind and when it came up positive I thought that it was probably wrong. So, I got out the expensive, digital kind and did it again. I think I stared at those two tests for a long, long time not really believing what I was seeing. I waited for Clint to get up and get ready for work and right before he left I gave him a present to open. He stared at that little onesie for a little bit. It took him a minute before it even registered. I had this shirt made for Clint over a year before I actual got to give it to him.

Me with one of the tests

Needless to say, today we are blessed with a beautiful baby boy and our family is complete for now. PJ is such a blessing to us and we are so thankful for him. We are both such proud parents of our little honey bunny.

I'm seeing two

For the past couple of days we've had a pretty fussy baby on our hands. I thought that maybe he was getting a tooth in due to the amazing amount of drool and chewing of his hands. I kept thinking that I could feel something and we both thought that we could see a little something in his small mouth. It's pretty funny when you are trying to look inside his mouth and he is doing everything in his power for you not to get a good look. Well, this morning I got a good look and feel and there are TWO teeth coming in! One was just not good enough for our PJ. They are the two front bottom teeth and he is chewing on anything that comes near him so watch out.

PJ is adjusting well to his new schedule during the week. I have to get him up at 5:30 a.m. to feed him so that we can be on schedule for school. He will eat and then go back to sleep while I get ready (usually). We leave the house around 7:15 and it takes us about 45 minutes to get to school. During these car rides I have discovered that PJ really likes mommy's cd of hymns. Sometimes he is very demanding about which one we listen to. If he is getting fussy in the backseat I will start changing the songs until he stops. About 75% of the time he will stop and listen to "Victory in Jesus". Sometimes we listen to it over and over. I find this very funny that one minute he is crying and the next he is just listening. If he is dictating my music selection at almost 4 months old, what am I in store for in the future??? But, he does have good taste.
