Let's go Cowboys

A good friend of mine had some tickets to the cowboy's game that she was unable to use and asked if we'd be interested in them. ARE YOU KIDDING? My husband was elated. Even though it was just preseason tickets, it was great to get into the stadium and see how amazing it was. When you go thru security to get inside they separate the men from the women...isn't that funny? We figured that someone was going to challenge this system at some point. Once we got inside we were overwhelmed at how enormous it was. Welcome to the new Cowboy's Stadium
The biggest TV I have every seen! We had spectacular seats but it was hard to watch the actual players instead of this HUGE tv.

All of us are ready for some football! K'Lee and Ellie stayed at home with their grandparents to watch on tv though.
We knew that parking was going to be very far away from the stadium so we stopped at Wal-Mart on the way and bought the only cheap umbrella stroller they had: Purple and Pink. PJ didn't care and we were all excited to not have to carry a 20lb kid a couple of miles.

Clint and J'Lee went to get us some snacks and this is what happened. Clint tried to step over the row of seats (after seeing that several other people had done it successfully) and unfortunately didn't make it. Luckily, everyone at the cowboy stadium was super nice and they gave him replacement food for free.
Walking up and down the aisle
This was taken after the game. He stayed awake the whole time and wasn't really that fussy. We were impressed! And a close up of PJ rocking out the purple and pink stroller. :)
Handsome man on his way to church.
Helping mom with the laundry. I push him around in the laundry basket and pretend it's a train complete with "choo choo" sound effects.

I decided to see how artsy/crafty my little one is. He definitely takes after his mommy...he loved painting with water. I brought out a big piece of cardboard and paintbrush and let him paint on it with water. I only showed him once what to do and he noticed the changes in the cardboard right away and went to town a painting. He did try to put the brush in his mouth a couple of times which makes me glad I just used water this time. And I let him "finger paint" too with the water but he liked the brush better.

Then we decided to use the cardboard as a ramp for his cars. This boy loves his cars! He even makes a little car noise; very cute!

Treasuring the small things

We invited the Bumpus girls to meet us at the park the other day. We decided to try PJ and Ellie in the same baby swing...they didn't seem to mind too much. PJ and Ellie

I have several friends who are sending their little ones off to Kindergarten this year. I can't even imagine little PJ going off to "big" school so I'm not even going to think about it...makes me want to cry! So, I've decided to treasure every moment I can with this fun boy.
Funny story I don't want to forget: The other day PJ was cruising around the couch and emptying out his bucket of books (a very fun activity apparently). He brought me back a book called I Stink...and boy did he! He was in need of a diaper change and I hadn't notice yet. Even when he can't quite talk to me, he finds a way to communicate. What a smart boy. LOL
Spaghetti and meatballs...yum
Can you find the hidden meatball? Check his belly button.
Making music while mom prepares dinner.
Just hanging out (BTW, he has finally started crawling more in the last week but he'd still rather walk or cruise)

Get to Steppin'

The little stinker is now up to 9 steps unassisted! This is the record so far. Most of the time it is just a couple of steps here and there without holding on to anything. He is getting braver!

Two steps

Guess who took two steps all by himself tonight???? We have been getting PJ to stand alone for a week or so but tonight he took two steps and then fell on his face. He did this three times and then got tired of the game.

Are we in trouble now??? :)

10 Months old and photo extravaganza

Oh sweet boy! PJ is such a joy. He loves waving right now. He will wave to anyone, anytime, anywhere. His favorite things are walking (while holding on), playing with cars or balls, bath time with his toys, riding in the laundry basket like a train, and being outside. He dislikes going down for naps, although when bedtime rolls around he is ready. 10 Months old!
Pedro (stuffed bear) is PJ's buddy. When he spies the bear across the room, he waves at him frantically. It is too cute.
We went to visit Clint's brother and sister at Camp Deer Run a couple of weeks ago and PJ was having a rough day to say the least. This is what we did during the Sunday service b/c PJ couldn't sit still or keep quiet. It has become one of his favorite activities - pushing the stroller from the little basket instead of sitting in the seat.
Trying out a new hair-do
We had family dedication at our church on August 1st. This is PJ all dressed up for the occasion.

Wearing his first tie
Playing at the pool with Dad
Always teething or it seems like it!
PJ in his sleep blanket getting ready for bed.
First time trying lasagna...yummy!

I think I'm in trouble now! I'm not sure I'm ready for him to figure out he can walk without holding on to something. :)
